Nomia Iqbal is a British journalist working as a presenter at BBC Washington. She also serves as a  correspondent and presenter of the World Service’s Newsday, international early morning news, and current affairs global program.

Iqbal began her professional journey as a Reporter at XFM Global Capital, where she honed her skills in journalism. She then moved on to UTV, where she took on the role of an editor and reporter for Juice FM. Her exceptional work and dedication earned her team the prestigious 2008 National News Team of the Year award at the Arqiva Awards.

In December 2008, Iqbal joined the esteemed BBC News team as a journalist and Broadcaster. She took on the crucial role of being the Washington Correspondent for BBC News, covering significant stories across America, including the highly anticipated US Election in 2020.
