Zach Harig Biography
Zach Harig is an American journalist and former sports anchor for FOX 17 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, currently working as District Communications Coordinator, at Hamilton Community Schools. He became a freelance sports cameraman for the station at the age of 18.
When he was 15 years old, he started working as an intern at WXMI-Fox 17’s sports department. He also picked up skills in scriptwriting, editing, and filming.
Harig got a job writing for One On One Kicking after contributing to websites like Rivals and others. He visited numerous places during that time, including Mobile, Alabama, to speak with NFL kickers and punters and write tales about them while they were in practice.

Harig has expertise calling play-by-play for basketball, baseball, and football thanks to his tenure with Michigan Sports Radio when he was 17 years old. But, that’s not all, Mr. Harig also provided play-by-play for basketball, baseball, and football games on WXUT 88.3 FM in Toledo.
He spent four years producing and reporting for Toledo’s Buckeye Cable Sports Network. He got hired by Buckeye Cable Sports Network as a production assistant, helping with the assembly and breakdown of cameras, cables, and equipment as well as keeping score during games.

After working his way up to the position of cameraman, he was managing audio for Sports Nightly five nights a week a few months later. likewise Zach initially began working for BCSN as an on-camera play-by-play announcer in December 2015 at the age of 19.
