Buchanan began his acting career by starring in the sitcom Morden Families. He then starred in Major Crimes, Grey’s Anatomy, The Goldbergs, Girl Meets World, and Game Shakers. He got his first main role as Leo Kirkman in the political drama series Designated Survivor.
