Stephanie Harris is an American journalist currently working as a news reporter and anchor at WAVY-TV in Portsmouth, Virginia. She anchors the 4:00 p.m and 5:30 p.m weekday newscasts. She has been at WAVY-TV since June 2000.
Harris joined WAVY-TV as a reporter in June 2000 and has won several awards. She now co-anchors WAVY News 10 at 4 and 5:30 p.m. on weekdays.
She’s also a full-time reporter who contributes daily stories to our newscasts and fills in on our lifestyle show “The Hampton Roads Show” on occasion. She enjoys working at a station where she can help a variety of individuals in the community through 10 On Your Side Reports and charitable events.
Stephanie is passionate about volunteering with local breast cancer awareness groups, the HER Shelter, and the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters. She began her television career at WIFR-TV in Rockford, Illinois, before going on to KSWO-TV in Lawton, Oklahoma, and finally OETA-TV in Tulsa.
Both the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters and the Associated Press acknowledged her journalistic abilities throughout her tenure in Oklahoma.
