Shiri Spear is an American news journalist currently working as a morning news journalist for FOX 25 News in Boston. Shiri Spear joined WFXT in November 2012 as the Boston 25 Morning News meteorologist. 

Shiri Spear, a native New Englander hailing from Hollis, NH, became part of WFXT in November 2012, taking on the role of the Boston 25 Morning News meteorologist. With her upbringing in the region, Shiri is well-acquainted with the unique challenges of forecasting New England’s ever-changing weather, from Nor’easters to ice storms, spring floods, and severe droughts.

Before joining WFXT, Shiri honed her meteorological skills at WTVJ, NBC6, in Miami, where she received two Emmy nominations in recognition of her exceptional work. Additionally, the American Meteorological Society acknowledged her talents, granting her the prestigious CBM accreditation in 2012.

Prior to her time in Miami, Shiri served as a meteorologist and environmental reporter at WWLP-TV22 News, NBC’s affiliate in western Massachusetts. Her journey to becoming a meteorologist commenced at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where she began her studies.

Later, her husband, a US Marine, was stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC, leading Shiri to relocate. During her time in North Carolina, Shiri shifted her focus to education, further expanding her knowledge and expertise in the field.
