Shaun Ley Biography

Shaun is a British journalist and newsreader for BBC News. He was formerly a regular presenter on BBC Radio 4’s The World This Weekend and The World at One. He appears on the BBC’s domestic BBC News and international BBC World News channels, as well as BBC Weekend News bulletins on BBC One.

He started his career at the BBC as a graduate trainee in 1990, and she later worked on the regional news show Points West. He was appointed Political Editor for the South East Cluster, based at the BBC Elstree Centre, and appeared regularly on Newsroom SouthEast, the regional news program for London and the home counties, as well as the cluster’s radio stations BBC GLR 94.9, BBC Three Counties Radio, and BBC Radios Kent and Essex.

In 2001, the region was divided into BBC London and BBC South East Today. He then hosted Around Westminster before joining the BBC as a national political correspondent in 2001. In 2005, he began hosting The World This Weekend.
