Sean began working at the station in November 2015. He spent his boyhood in New York, where he developed an interest in weather after witnessing thunderstorms, cold weather, and blizzards. His interest in meteorology grew even further after relocating to Florida and being hit by Hurricane Frances just two weeks later. Sean was inspired to pursue a profession in meteorology by the busy weather pattern in Florida.

Sean received a Master’s Degree in Geoscience/Applied Meteorology from Mississippi State University after completing his courses with a 4.0 GPA. Sean completed his college studies at the University of Florida while working for a 24-hour news, weather, and sports channel in Gainesville.

He has covered hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorms, and even some winter weather during that time. Sean earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication and a Meteorology and Climatology Certificate from the University of Florida in 2015.

A tornado watch remains in effect for parts of Central Texas until 6 PM.
