Paula Reid is an American journalist who currently works as a White House reporter for CBS News. Coverage of Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel investigation and Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign is one of her well-known responsibilities.
During her college studies, Paula volunteered at the Juvenile Justice Project of Lousiana in 2006. Between 2007 and 2008, she served as a legal intern at the Chester County District Attorney’s office.
She then moved to Fox29 in Philadelphia working as a reporter. In January 2010, Reid relocated to New York City and was hired as an intern at CBS News in their investigative Unit. This marked the debut in her long term at CBS News.
However, Paula did not hold that position for long as she became a production secretary for CBS Evening News in June the same year. She then held the position for one year before assuming another role of a digital journalist based out of New York City from 2011-2014.
Between 2014-2018, she was a reporter in the Washington, D.C, area joining the legal team of CBS News in Washington, D.C. While on the role, she covered the 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign. This involved the reporting about the Clinton email controversy.
Begining in 2017, Paula covered the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C, for CBS News. She further led the CBS network coverage of the Special Counsel investigation of Robert Mueller.
Her position as the Washington correspondent for CBS News was tasked to her in April 2018. In her position, she covered the Justice Department, the White House, and legal affairs. In 2018, she pressed Trump on his border policies and strategies.
