An American native, Mike Caplan is a journalist known for working as a morning meteorologist for FOX 32 News. He is married to former model Laura with whom he has a son. He is also a graduate of Illinois State University.
Caplan joined FOX 32 as the station’s morning meteorologist for Good Day Chicago in December 2015. After college, he worked at WCIA in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.
He started out as a news reporter before moving up to weekend and noon weather anchor. Caplan also co-hosted the station’s PM Magazine show and was one of the first reporters granted a one-on-one interview with President Ronald Reagan at the White House.
