Megan relocated to Texas from Ohio, where she worked as a reporter for Gray Television’s Parkersburg, West Virginia-based station, WTAP. As a multi-media journalist at WTAP, Megan wore several hats, reporting on a variety of news and sports issues while also anchoring and producing as needed.

She was part of a breaking news team that earned first place in the Ohio Associated Press Awards and second place in the Virginia Associated Press Awards for coverage of a historic fire in Wood County, West Virginia.

Her three-part series on the one-year anniversary of the fire took second place in the Ohio Associated Press Awards the following year. Megan also placed second in the In-Depth category of the 2018 Virginia AP Awards for her five-part story “Zeroing in on School Safety: Protecting Our Children.”

Megan also worked in the sports department at WTAP, where she shot everything from NCAA Division I football games to high school tennis and everything in between. She hosted the weekly Football Frenzy show, where she called dozens of high school football highlights and produced feature pieces.

She is a sports fanatic who grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She lived in Pittsburgh for the summer of 2017 and worked as a social media producer for the AT&T Sports Network’s Pittsburgh Pirates broadcasts. Vanselow has four years of on-air reporting experience from Ohio, where she has appeared on six different TV series, including WOUB’s NewsWatch and Gridiron Glory, an Emmy-winning football highlight show.

Megan interned for two years with the Ohio University Athletic Department after interning with Adidas in Germany during the summer of 2015. She previously worked in the sports department at WXTQ/WATH in Athens, Ohio.
