Meaghan Thomas is an American journalist and entertainment TV host who currently works at WKRN News 2, in Nashville, Tennessee, as Morning Meteorologist. Prior to joining WKRN News 2, Thomas used to work as a meteorologist at ABC 33/40 in Birmingham, Alabama from July 2017 to July 2020.
During her undergraduate years, Meaghan’s passion for meteorology led her to become a dedicated member of both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. Not content with just learning, she also went the extra mile and became a certified storm spotter, immersing herself in hands-on experience to better understand weather phenomena.
In a twist of fate, Meaghan found herself in the heart of a devastating tornado outbreak on April 27, 2011. Witnessing the destructive power of nature firsthand further fueled her determination to delve deeper into the causes of such weather occurrences.

But Meaghan’s pursuit of knowledge didn’t stop there. Eager to excel in her field, she set her sights on achieving the prestigious CBM (Certified Broadcast Meteorologist) and NWA (National Weather Association) seal of approval, signifying her expertise and commitment to her craft.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Meaghan finds joy and balance in her personal life. She cherishes moments spent with family, savoring good food, exploring new places through travel, and staying active with regular exercise. As a devoted fan, she also takes pride in cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide.
In May of 2014, Meaghan Thomas realized a milestone in her journey when she joined ABC 33/40’s esteemed weather crew.
