Ms. Kummer served as a weekend anchor and news reporter for NTV News and KFXL FOX Nebraska in central Nebraska. Here, she picked up a love for agrarian stories and a passion for Nebraska football.
In high school, she developed an interest in journalism and story-telling. She was in charge of the morning announcements, where she learned she had a talent for informing her peers about important facts, current events, and the accomplishments of other kids.
In her own time, she enjoys discovering new foods and pastimes in “her backyard” and traveling across West Michigan. She also appreciates wine, plays, sailing, vacations, and country music.
