Each weekday, Lane Luckie hosts Good Morning East Texas and produces the station’s popular ‘Power of Prayer’ series. Lane previously worked at KTRE-TV in Lufkin and Nacogdoches as an evening anchor and executive producer. He moved to East Texas from Shreveport’s KTAL-TV, where he worked as a general assignment reporter. Lane also worked for the Natchitoches, Louisiana Convention & Visitors Bureau for four years in marketing.
Lane is a two-time Regional Emmy winner from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ Lone Star Chapter. The Associated Press, Texas Association of Broadcasters, Broadcast Education Association, and the Southeast Journalism Conference have all acknowledged his work.
He was named an RIAS Berlin Commission fellow by the RTDNF in 2017, engaging in a trans-Atlantic exchange program for American and German broadcasters. As a fellow of the East-West Center, he flew to China the following year to report on trade tensions between the world’s leading economies. He returned to Germany in 2019 to cover the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall as well as the federal elections in 2021.
