John Rogers Biography and Wiki
John Rogers is an American journalist, anchor, and reporter currently working for WRIC 8News as the co-anchor for Good Morning Richmond. Before joining WRIC, Rogers worked for WFLA in Tampa Florida as a fill-in anchor and reporter.
Rogers began his career as a reporter for the WFSU TV/FM Public Broadcasting station. This started in Tallahassee, Florida, at the beginning of 2005. He obtained a position as a TV and radio reporter at Florida State University Communications at the conclusion of the year.
He quit both positions in September of the following year to work as an Internet reporter and Associate Producer at WCTV in Tallahassee. In May 2008, he was promoted to Anchor and Reporter and held this position until December 2009.
At WALA-TV, Fox 10 News, he took up the same position. He primarily worked for the channel as a fill-in anchor and multimedia journalist. He left three years later, in February 2013.
He joined WFLA-Sarasota TV’s Bureau as a reporter. For the channel, he covered Sarasota and Manatee Counties. In 2012, he had a meeting with Neil Armstrong and Gene Cernan, which was one of his most significant works. He also had the opportunity to fly in the world’s last operational B-29 Superfortress.
Rogers has worked as a journalist for many years, filling in TV reports for publications, maintaining station websites, and managing social media accounts by continuously publishing updates, among other things.
John then joined WRIC 8News in January 2020. He is the morning co-anchor for Good Morning Richmond at WRIC TV 8 ABC. He anchors the morning news alongside Matt DiNardo, Katie Dupree, and Emily Kaye.
