Guerrido began her career at WRMA (106.7) in Miami where she hosted the morning show El Vacilon de la Mañana (“Good times in the morning”). She then joined HBC Radio Company where she co-hosted a radio program.

She eventually got her own music program on WRTO (98.3). She also got a position as a traffic reporter for WSCV, Miami’s Telemundo station, so she was working for both radio and television at the same time.

Univision noticed Guerrido and offered her a job as a meteorologist for Al Amanacer de Noticias 23, the morning show on Univision’s flagship WLTV at the time. At the University of Miami, she majored in meteorology. Guerrido has been presenting the weather on Despierta America, one of the most popular television programs among the Hispanic population in the United States, for numerous years.

She also forecasted the weather for Univision’s afternoon newsmagazine show Primer Impacto, which she co-hosted with Barbara Bermudo. She attended the University of Florida and majored in journalism. She took over as co-anchor of Primer Impacto with Pamela Silva Conde on January 9, 2017, replacing veteran anchor Barbara Bermudo.
