Graham Linehan is an Irish television writer and anti-transgender activist. He created or co-created Father Ted (1995–1998), Black Books (2000–2004), and The IT Crowd (2006–2013). He has also written for Count Arthur Strong, Brass Eye, and The Fast Show. After an episode of The IT Crowd was attacked for being transphobic, he became involved in anti-transgender activism. 

He thinks that transgender activism endangers women and has likened the use of puberty blockers to Nazi eugenics projects. In 2020, he was suspended from Twitter for “many infringement” of the rules. Linehan said that his convictions had lost him his job and caused difficulty in his marriage

Linehan expressed skepticism about gender self-identification, objecting to “privileged white people saying you have to accept everybody who claims to be a woman. He stated that “everyone suffering from gender dysphoria ought to be addressed and supported,” but has expressed reservations about early transgender intervention for youngsters.
