Dax Shepard Wikipedia
Shepard relocated to Los Angeles in 1996 after spending a year in Santa Barbara, California. He learned about The Groundlings improv troupe from a Santa Barbara buddy, Kareem Elseify, and ended up auditioning (his first time acting) and taking classes while attending UCLA.
After around five years of lessons, he was accepted into The Groundlings’ Sunday Company, which comprised Melissa McCarthy, Fortune Feimster, Tate Taylor, and Nat Faxon.
From 2010 through 2015, Shepard was a regular on the NBC drama Parenthood, playing Crosby Braverman. Shepard co-wrote, produced, co-directed, and appeared in the low-budget film Hit and Run in 2012, starring Bell and his close friend Bradley Cooper.
He claims that the film, which has multiple car chases and rapid driving scenes, allowed him to play out his Smokey and the Bandit fantasies.
Dax Shepard Accident
On 20 August 2020, Shepard stated that he needed to undergo surgery after getting in a motorcycle accident that left him with multiple injuries, including four broken ribs, a broken clavicle and a broken hand.
The crash occurred while he was riding in California on Sunday. Shepard, who said he may take a break from riding motorcycles for the remainder of the year, added that track employees chewed him out for not immediately getting off the track so he didn’t get hit by a motorcycle.
Even though Shepard was hurt, he iced his shoulder and sat out for about 90 minutes before he got back for two more sessions on the track. Noting that he was in so much pain by the time he wrapped up, he drove the roughly 500 miles back home to Los Angeles and went to the hospital the next day.
