David Lazarus Biography and Wiki
David Lazarus is an American journalist, business, and consumer columnist who currently works for KTLA as a consumer and business columnist. Prior to working at KTLA, he worked for Los Angeles Times as a columnist.
Lazarus joined KTLA-TV in 2022 to work as a consumer and business columnist. He left Los Angeles Times after working at the outlet since 2007. His last posted column was on January 28, 2022. In the 2005 National Headliner Awards for Business Reporting, he took first place.
In 2001, he was selected “Journalist of the Year” by the Society of Professional Journalists in Northern California. He appears regularly on KTLA’s “Consumer Confidential”. In addition, Lazarus is the author of two books about Japan, where he lived for several years, as well as numerous magazine articles.
Prior to joining KTLA in Los Angeles, Lazarus worked at Los Angeles Times as a business columnist. He mainly focused on consumer affairs and related topics while at Los Angeles Times. He has also done pieces on Youtube for the news outlet.
Lazarus worked as a journalist for the San Francisco Chronicle and a weekly talk radio personality for San Francisco’s KGO Radio before joining the LA Times staff in 2007. Lazarus also worked for the San Francisco Examiner, Bangkok Post, and Japan Times, among other publications.
