Dave Puglisi Wikipedia

Puglisi is an Emmy Award-winning journalist who began working at FOX35 in June 2021. Dave has spent the past two and a half years as the lead reporter for Connecticut’s number one show, FOX61 News at 10, in his home state. He’s covered some of the state’s most important stories, including the disappearance of Jennifer Dulos, as well as giving a voice to individuals who were struggling during the COVID-19 outbreak and during the social turmoil that followed George Floyd’s death.

During the height of the pandemic’s no-visitor policy, he bargained with hospital officials on two occasions to allow families to see their dying loved ones one more time. His coverage of one exceptional woman, Jendayi Scott-Miller, and her efforts to feed the poor in her town as a result of the pandemic led to the establishment of a non-profit that now feeds thousands of people each week. The group is known as the “Angel of Edgewood,” after Dave’s nickname for Ms. Miller.

Dave has conducted interviews with world leaders and has been cited in the New York Times, the Associated Press, and other publications. He was nominated for a regional Emmy Award for his coverage of a Black Lives Matter protest in Newington, Connecticut.

Dave also teaches journalism seminars at the University of New Haven as an adjunct professor. Dave is a former Quinnipiac University Media Production Specialist and professor.
