Chau Nguyen Biography

Chau Nguyen is a former Vietnamese-American journalist known for working as a news anchor at KHOU-TV, before stepping down in December 2007. She attended Katy High School and later joined the University of Texas Austin.

She decided to quit journalism in 2007 and said she wanted to do other things apart from television. In 2007, she was named “Best Reporter” by the Houston Press. She anchored the morning newscast at KHOU since 2003.

Since then, Chau has been on numerous local news programs to share her therapeutic knowledge of adolescents and teenagers. Chau accepted a position as Manager of Community Involvement at The Women’s Home in 2013. Nguyen has made many public appearances in her capacity as a spokeswoman for the charity.

Chau served as Mistress of Ceremony during the 2016 City of Houston Mayor and Elected Officials Inauguration at downtown Jones Hall in January 2016. She was appointed Chief Marketing Officer of the Houston Area Women’s Center in April 2016.
