Chanel West Coast is an American television personality, rapper, and singer. She rose to fame for starring in MTV’s Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory and Ridiculousness the latter of which she co-hosted for 23 seasons over eleven years.

In 2008, Chanel was introduced to television star Rob Dyrdek through mutual friends. Shortly after, Dyrdek offered Chanel a job as his receptionist while he was appearing on the MTV reality series Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory.

MTV later renewed the series for a second season. The series’ third season aired in 2011, with a total of twelve episodes; the fourth season began broadcasting in 2011.

Coast had 10 appearances in season four of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood as a member of the supporting cast. She did not, however, return after the fourth season’s reunion special.

Coast began recording songs in 2009 and began working with a variety of artists. That same year, she collaborated with Tiffanie Anderson on the song “Melting Like Ice Cream.”

Coast promoted her mixtape by headlining two tours: the Punch Drunk Love Tour and the Now You Know Tour. She also dropped a music video for “Been On,” which featured French Montana.

In August 2015, she released her second mixtape, WAVES, which featured YG and B-Real. Chanel collaborated on the Valleywood clothing collection in 2009. By 2019, she had also launched a new apparel line called LOL CARTEL.

Coast curated the Chanel West Coast smoking materials collection for the cannabis subscription box startup Daily High Club in 2018.
