Andy Cerota is an American journalist working for KPRC TV as an anchor and reporter. Before joining KPRC, Andy worked for KTRK-TV as a reporter and filling anchor.
Andy became a member of the KPRC 2 News team in June 2012. He has been with KTRK-TV for over nine years. He worked as the station’s ancho at KCOP-TV in Los Angeles prior to relocating to Houston.
Prior to that, he worked as a news anchor at KPNX-TV in Phoenix. At KXAN-TV based in Austin, he also had a stop there and worked for a while. Andy previously worked for the Abilene-based KTXS-TV station.
Andy was overjoyed and proud to learn that he had been nominated for an Emmy for a community affairs segment that he had written and co-produced. “The piece was on the Tolerance Sculpture,” the segment was titled. He and Allen Parkway co-produced the segment. The segment was dedicated to a local teen who was the victim of a hate crime.
